Clavichord in pristine condition built in 1977 by Peter Stephenson from a Zuckerman kit.
Owned and maintained by a professional musician.
It is unfretted, walnut case, double strung.
The keyboard is 5 octaves from GG to f3.
The white keys are 110cm long, and the octave c-c is 165cm.
Other dimensions are: 1530cm x 460cm (depth) x 770cm (high).
The height without trestle is 187.5cm.
It stays remarkably well in tune, has a very gutsy, full tone and is extremely expressive.
The builder is a Rolls Royce engineer so took great pains to get everything exactly right, and it shows.
A very fine example of its kind.
